CDMA in RivneUkrainian CDMA2000 operator ITC (CDMA Ukraine) has expanded its services to Lutsk, in the western county of Volyn, the fifteenth region covered by its fixed-wireless network. Over the last month and a half CDMA Ukraine has expanded in other western areas, including Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk, and plans to expand to another five cities in the next three months, beginning with Uzhgorod and Rivne (also in the west) in the coming weeks.

According to TeleGeography's GlobalComms database, the expansion plan would cover its entire current licence footprint of 20 regions. ITC is 50%-owned by a New Jersey-based company; the remainder is held by Ukrainian shareholders. It served 96,000 subscribers by the end of September 2007, or 26% of the country’s CDMA market.
